Hi. I’m Adam Helfman, I’m a home improvement expert from HireItDone.com. There’s a lot of choices in the marketplace today, when you’re considering new windows for your home, fiberglass, vinyl, aluminum, wood, and even composite. And all these window brands claim to be the best. Today, we’re gonna take a deeper look into the Marvin Window Brand, and why you should consider them.
Marvin is one of the most respected names in the window industry. In fact, they have a window for everyone’s budget. And today, we’re at the Marvin Design Gallery, here in Bloomfield Hills.
Most homeowners only buy windows once or twice in their lifetime, so it’s really important that you pick the right style for your home. Let’s take a look at the double hung window. Here we have a Marvin double hung window, and it’s one of the most popular windows for your home today. What’s great about this window is that the top and the bottom sash both move. As you can see, the top sash moves just like the bottom sash, but check this out, this tilts in for easy cleaning.
Next up is the casement window. The casement window has some really great benefits. One, it’s a lot of glass, and the other benefit is that it opens up really wide. Another great benefit of the Marvin casement window is what they call wash mode. It allows you to unhook the sash, tilt it in, and clean the glass on both sides from inside the house.
Some replacement windows only last a decade, however, Marvin windows are designed to last at least 30 years, with an industry leading parts and labor warranty to back it up.
The next window we’re gonna talk about is the glider window. This window’s gaining a lot of popularity, for two reasons. One, it can fill a lot of open spaces, and two, just like the double hung, both sashes move independently.
One of the most exquisite design features for your home is to get a custom door wall. And at Marvin, the choices are virtually unlimited because everything is built around you. When Marvin Windows says they’re built around you, they really mean it. Let’s take a look at these custom features that are only available here, at the Marvin Design Gallery, like this tilt and turn window. By tiling the handle horizontal, it opens like a door. By putting the handle in the up position, the window becomes like a hopper.
If you have a really large opening, and you wanna really nice view, take a look at this double hung. If you’re looking to add historic character to your house, take a look at the in swing casement window, and the chain and pulley double hung. This window qualifies for all historic designations, and provides contemporary performance. Here’s another cool product at the Marvin Design Gallery, it’s the multi-slide door. It can be custom designed for any opening up to 50 feet wide, and 12 feet tall.
Now, let’s go take a look at some of the accessories. Whether you’re choosing the Marvin Integrity line, which happens to be the best fiberglass window on the market, or the sustainable Marvin wood window, choosing the options for your windows is just as important as the window itself.
As you can see, the options for your windows and doors are extensive. That’s why it’s super important to have a window expert help you, and walk you through the process. Here are some of the options, like window hardware, built-in shades, retractable screens, tinted or privacy glass, or custom matching hardware.
So when you’re gathering information on purchasing windows for your home, you really wanna make a decision based on a cutaway of the window, and a high-pressure salesman in your face, or at the Marvin Design Gallery, where you have a relaxing, and no pressure environment, and you can put your hands on everything.
